Kansas man dies after pickup crashes into broken-down motorcycle

PARSONS, Kan. (KAKE) - A 61-year-old southeast Kansas man has died after a pickup truck crashed into his broken-down motorcycle Thursday night.

The accident happened at around 10:45 p.m. at the Labette-Neosho county line, northeast of Parsons. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a motorcycle was disabled with no lights on while facing east on 2700 Road near Rooks Road. An eastbound Ford Ranger then rear-ended the motorcycle. 

The man on the motorcycle, George Shaw of Parsons was taken to a local hospital where he died. The 35-year-old man driving the pickup was not hurt.
