CHANUTE, Kan. (KAKE) - A 67-year-old man has died after his bicycle and a car collided near a southeast Kansas park on Tuesday.

The accident happened just before noon at the entrance to Santa Fe Park in Chanute. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the bicycle was southbound on the Santa Fe Avenue sidewalk and collided with the side of a southbound Chevy Camaro that made a right turn into the park. 

The man on the bicycle, Harvey Love of Chanute, was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center where he died Wednesday morning. 

The 39-year-old man driving the car was not injured.
