It’s been 20 years since the Carr brothers gruesomely murdered four people, and critically injured one other.

One of the victims was 25-year-old preschool teacher Heather Muller.

Twenty years after she’s been gone,  Heather’s impact still ripples.

On Tuesday, her friends and family honored her life with a fundraiser at Barn’rds, her favorite restaurant.

Fifteen percent of sales for the day will go directly to Heather’s Camp, created in Heather’s honor, serving kids who are blind or visually impaired.

Heather’s college roommate — Nina Jerke, says even with all the evil that unfolded back on that cold December day…good is still emerging.

"What’s neat about remembering the 15th is that Wichita won’t forget because so many were impacted by that day and I feel like it can be a triumphant day because so many lives have been impacted now," says Jerke.

Barn’rds says they plan to host this fundraiser every year on the anniversary from here on out.
