An Ark City man is dead and his son hurt in a high-speed crash in Ark City.

The crash happened around midnight Sunday on Summit Street. Ark City Police Chief Dan Ward said the vehicle was traveling around 90 mph when the driver lost control over  train tracks. The car then hit four utility poles, and a mailbox before coming to a stop. Police say both men were ejected from the vehicle.

The man killed has been identified as Kenneth Dale Wall Jr., 49.   His 19-year-old son Jacob was injured and is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.  Police have not been able to determine who was driving.
