K-State sophomore Kamau Stokes is withdrawing his name from the 2017 NBA Draft. The guard will return for the Wildcats for his junior season this winter.

Stokes averaged 11.7 points, 4.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game.

“We are excited to have Kamau back for his junior season,” head coach Bruce Weber said. “This was an important step for him and his family to explore his dreams of playing in the NBA. I know he is motivated to have a great season and start building on what we did as a team this past season.”

Stokes becomes one of nine returners for the Wildcats, including one of the three who started all 35 games this past season.
